My Parents By My Uncle

Neat thing about Facebook is that sometimes your uncle posts a photo you’ve never seen before of your parents, and it makes your heart swell with love.

They look so happy. I can’t tell exactly how old the photo is, but I’m guessing maybe ten years or so. I can tell it was taken during a break during one of my dad’s band’s shows (the mandolin, the PA) and it was probably a nicer event (the “formal” vests and my mom’s velvet). My guess is a New Years show. Their smiles, their hands, I just love it. My mom is and always has been the photographer of the group, so she is usually behind the camera. I rarely see photos of her that weren’t taken by me or someone who hijacked her camera while she wasn’t looking. So this is a rare treat. Anyway, here’s to them. Love you guys.
